Many of you may know already, President George W. Bush is hosting 20 service men and their

spouses next week in Amarillo for the 2nd Annual Warrier 100.  It is a 3 day mountain bike ride in the

Palo Duro Canyon.


This is a great honor for Amarillo to host this event.  The Warriors and their spouses arrive

Wednesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 26th at various times during the day.  Join us in

giving them a warm West-Texas welcome at the airport as they arrive!   Park in short term

parking and meet at the Rick Husband statue in the public common area of the airport.

Bring signs welcoming the warriors (their first names are below for you to put on signs)

or balloons if you would like!

Area Cycling Eventskennyg writes "Amarillo's 8th annual participation in the internationally observed memorial bicycle RIDE OF SILENCE is May 16 (Wednesday) at Potter County Courthouse, Taylor St @ 6th Ave. Assembly is at 6:30 PM with rollout at 7 PM. A post-ride social gathering will be held on the beautiful new lawn so pack your lawn chairs, etc. This is a free, slow-paced ride without talking, open to all riders and hosted each year by OTC in conjunction with Share the ROAD!. APD police escort service is provided for our 6-8 mile ride at 10 MPH. "
