martyt writes "Where: Wildcat Bluff Nature Center When: Saturday March 27, 2010 beginning at 10:00 a.m. What : Duathlon presented by TriATX Triathlon Club. This race consists of a 2 mile run, 14 mile bike leg and 2 mile run. The run will be on some pavement and some single track trail. Bike leg will be on the Old Soncy trail and pavement. Cost : $10.00 for members of TriATX, non members $15.00 and additional $10.00 for anyone not a member of USAT. Packet pickup will be at 7:00 a.m. race morning at Wildcat Bluff Nature Center. Contact: email clubtriatx@gmail.com for a registration form or go to Active.com and register.
This race is sanctioned by USAT. This is also a non competitive race so no prizes will be awarded but stay and enjoy food and goodies after the race. "

firemanjoe writes "All Palo Duro Canyon Marathon volunteers will have a short meeting Saturday morning @ 8:45. We will meet near the REGISTRATION area. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for volunteers.
Course Marshals will receive your location assignment at this meeting. Course marshals should bring a snack and water bottle. We will make rotations for breaks as needed.
Palo Duro Canyon Officials are discouraging the presence of dogs for this event. If you bring your dog, YOU must pick-up your dog's pile. PDC fine is $135 for not policing your dog.
